From Charlie Cash:
Please share this widely ASAP. It has come to our attention that the Postal Service has somehow blocked our EGS domains on the Postal Service networks. This is causing two issues we are aware of:
The Postal Service and our EGS vendor is aware of the issue and they are working on correcting it. I am also addressing any timeliness issues that could arise because of the problem. However, remember that it is not whether the Postal Service opens the link/receives the email that proves you filed timely. Consistent with the attached document, starting on page 4 there is a set of Q and A’s. Question #7 addresses how proof of filing is documented. Make sure your emails are still sent on time to the appropriate email addresses. Once that is completed, print/screenshot the APWU Email Details for the grievance and add it to your file. If you have that email proof—per the Q and A—it is timely.
I will update the field as there are more developments on the resolution of the problem.
Do not use any of these common illegal characters or symbols in your filenames or folders as it can impact your moving papers:
The EGS is like any other browser-based applications that uses considerable resources and bandwidth with thousands of users.
The file upload process is one of the most strenuous processes on your EGS application. It takes considerable time: more the time to upload, more the chances of failures or connection drop. With each failure, a file needs to be re-uploaded from the beginning with traditional methods.
Best Practice:
Keep your file size limit to 10MB or Less. This will lessen the resources needed to upload excessively large files and smaller files are always lest risky to store and maintain.
If you rename a grievance after you initially save it, it will disable the documents in your grievance folder. For example, if you created it originally as "xyz001" and then changed it to "XYZ001", it would disable your documents. That is only changing the capitalization of the letters. If you have done this and cannot access docs, go back and change to it its original form and click save.
In addition, keep these rules in mind when choosing filename:
